Fish casserole with American salad”
Casserole: 50 sweet fish day, 6-8 potatoes, 2 large onions, 1 spoon of fat to grease the dish, 3 tablespoons of oil, half a glass of milk, 1 yolk, 3 spoons of grated cheese, half a bunch of parsley, salt, pepper
Salad: head of crispy lettuce, 2-3 tomatoes: 2 celery stalks, 7 a small cucumber, 10 radishes, 1 strąk papryki zielonej lub czerwonej’, the juice of half a lemon, 3-4 tablespoons of oil, 2 tablespoons of water, salt, sugar
Rinse the fish, scrape, to make, cut off the head and fins, wash, edge the fillets, take out the bones, divide into pieces and brown in oil quickly. Slice the peeled onion into half rings. Brush the baking dish with fat and place in it in layers raw potatoes sliced into slices and mixed with onion and pieces of fish. Sprinkle the individual layers with salt and pepper. Boil the milk, puff with egg yolk (beat in boiling milk, but not to cook), mix with grated cheese, season with salt and pepper to taste, pour the sauce over the dish and bake it in a preheated oven or electric cooker (ok. 50 min.). Serve the casserole with chopped parsley and salad prepared in the American way.
While preparing the salad, Rinse the vegetables, Peel the cucumbers, Blanch the tomatoes and remove the skin. Dice everything ; mix with lettuce into small pieces. From lemon juice, oil and water to make a sauce, beat with a fork until it turns white and season it with salt and sugar. Pour it over the lettuce and po 10 min. pass to the table.
